Jikiden Reiki
In stillness, we reconnect.
Translated as "directly passed down", Jikiden Reiki honours the original Japanese teachings of Mikao Usui. Its beauty lies in its simplicity. There is no trying to fix or force change. It offers a quiet space where body and mind are simply invited to rest. Its beauty lies in its simplicity. There is no need to do anything or achieve anything during your session. Through gentle touch and stillness, you’re given time to rest, without demands or expectations. Life can feel overwhelming, and you can lose yourself, the stillness of Jikiden Reiki can be profoundly restorative.
Stillness is something we can forget. Life can be noisy, inside and out. Jikiden Reiki offers a quiet space. Sometimes, that is all we need to reconnect with ourselves
The body is always striving for balance. When life is busy, demanding, or overwhelming, it can be difficult to find a moment to settle. In the stillness of Jikiden Reiki, body and mind are given the opportunity to settle, reconnect, and find their way once again.
Every Treatment Begins
with You

What To Expect
First, we’ll sit down for a short conversation about how you’re feeling, any health concerns, and what has brought you in. I’ll explain the treatment and answer any questions, particularly if Reiki is new to you.
You’ll remain fully clothed, simply removing your shoes before settling onto the warm treatment couch. I’ll offer you a blanket and make sure you’re comfortable and supported.
I’ll gently place my hands on your head and other agreed areas of your body, resting them in each position for a while. The touch is light and still, without massage or pressure.
You don’t need to concentrate, meditate, or try to feel anything. You can close your eyes, let your thoughts come and go, or drift off to sleep.
Experiences vary. You may notice warmth beneath my hands, feel yourself becoming more settled, or simply enjoy the quiet. There is no particular sensation you need to have.
Please feel free to ask questions, change position, or ask me to adjust or stop at any point.
Afterwards, you’ll have time to sit up slowly and get ready before we talk about how you’re feeling.
